The service

TarSignal provides alerts, reports, and datasets derived from public North Carolina building permit records. Access to free and paid tiers is subject to these terms.

Accuracy and no warranty

Permit data comes from third-party public records and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. You must verify any filing with the issuing jurisdiction before relying on it.

Using the data

Use what you get from TarSignal inside your own business: contact and bid on the jobs, quote, load the leads into your CRM and build internal reports. Quoting a few figures publicly is fine with credit to TarSignal.

• Don't resell, redistribute or bulk-publish our lists or compiled data, or use them to build a competing lead or data service. Bulk and data-feed licenses are a separate agreement; ask at support@tarsignal.com.
• Don't scrape the service or download in bulk beyond your plan's limits.
• Each login is for one person. Don't share it; ask us about team seats instead.
• Don't use the service for unlawful outreach. Calls, texts and emails to the contacts you find must follow the telemarketing and anti-spam laws that apply to you.

The permits themselves are public records. What these terms protect is the cleaned, combined dataset we build from them.

Billing and cancelling

Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account (the Subscription tab, then Manage billing); your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and the next renewal isn't charged.

Refunds

• Ask within 7 days of your first charge for a paid plan and we'll refund that charge in full.
• After that, cancelling stops future renewals; the current period isn't refunded in part.
• Billing mistakes, such as a duplicate charge or a charge after you cancelled, are always refunded.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. Ask at support@tarsignal.com.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TarSignal is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any lost business arising from use of the service.

Independence

TarSignal is an independent platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any MLS, county assessor, or municipal permitting office.
